Community Park Event and Grand Re-opening of Town Hall: Saturday, October 15, 10am- 2pm

The Town of Sims will be hosting a Community Park Event and Grand Re-Opening of the Town Hall on Saturday, October 15, 2022 from 10am - 2pm. Entry to the event will be free, but we are asking visitors to bring canned donations to benefit the Family Food Basket, our local food pantry which serves our community and the surrounding area. A list of acceptable goods can be found here.

We will have multiple vendors at the Park giving out information and selling merchandise, inflatables for kids, a visit from SVFD’s Sparky the Firehouse Dog, icees, an antique car show, and so much more! Music will be provided by Ms. Louie “The Diva” Bowen, our Emcee for the day! Crystal’s Grill will be open serving fresh food during the event! We will also be hosting a meet-and-greet event at the renovated Town Hall for residents to come meet and speak with your Mayor and Town Commissioners.

If you are interested in hosting a booth at the event for sales or information distribution, we are currently accepting vendor applications and registration forms (due by August 29). The registration fee for vendor booths is $25. Payments can be made by mail or in person at Town Hall in the form of cash, check or money order. We cannot accept credit card payments for vendor fees. Get your applications in now!

Anyone interested in volunteering to help at the event or assist with planning, please call Town Hall.

We look forward to seeing you all!

Water Leak Repaired

Again, we are sorry for the inconvenience this morning. We were not expecting to turn the water off around town; however, it became necessary. The leak has been repaired and water has been restored to town. If you have any discoloration of your water, running your cold water for a few minutes should clear any issues.

Thank you!

Water Leak

We just wanted to alert our residents and business owners we have a water leak in town which may require the repair crew to turn off water to certain areas along/ near US 264 Alt this morning. The repair crew is working as quickly as possible to get the leak fixed and all water restored to town. We expect water to be off for about 30 minutes. We apologize for the inconvenience. Thank you!
