PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE

TOWN OF SIMS

The Town of Sims Board of Commissioners will hold a public hearing on Monday, March 13, 2023 beginning at 6:00 PM at the Sims Community Center (old Town Hall) located at 6402 US Hwy 264 Alt, Sims, North Carolina, to consider the following items:

1.      Proposed amendments to the Town of Sims’ Zoning Ordinance, including provisions within Article XII, Section 121 (Sub-section 121-1 g) and Article XIII, Section 130-9, regarding the notice of hearing to adjacent property owners for map amendments and certain quasi-judicial cases.

2.       Proposed amendments to the Town of Sims’ Zoning Ordinance, Article XI Administration, Enforcement, Penalties and Right of Appeal under Section 110.3 Zoning Administrator in order to add description of the types and purposes of Administrative Permits.

 The public is invited to attend.  The purpose of the public hearings is to provide interested parties with an opportunity to receive an explanation of the proposed amendments and to comment on the proposals.  If you wish to make written comments, please send them prior to the hearing to the Town of Sims, PO Box 161 Sims, NC 27880 address or via email at info@townofsimsnc.com.
